Located within Cape Coral City Hall, Pops Café is staffed and operated by Special Populations. This unique cafeteria offers delicious breakfast and lunch specials, featuring a variety of home-style soups, pastries, desserts, and healthy salads prepared daily. Pops Café opened in June 2001 and has developed into a popular eating establishment with delicious food, dining inside, and an outdoor courtyard.
The greatest asset that the café possesses is the Special Populations employees. Forty-five City of Cape Coral employees are adults with intellectual disabilities and rotate job sites throughout the week. Pops Café is one of the many job and training opportunities the City of Cape Coral offers the participants enrolled at Special Populations. They are enthusiastic and eager to learn and perform the many tasks associated with operating Pops Café. All of them are proud of their accomplishments and would like to welcome you. They are the main ingredient in the success of Pops Café!
